• Event Photographer Needed for a Very Worthy Cause! - House of Friends

  UPDATE: No more need for volunteers! Many thanks to Shawn Henry for volunteering to photograph this event!
  This is for a fundraiser event on Saturday May 7th 6:30-9:00pm for an organization called "House of Friends".
  The event is called "Sizzle & Swing Benefit Gala".
  House of Friends (HOF) provides a supported day of socialization, exercise, music, games and lunch for persons with early stages of dementia. Their free weekly program staffed by caring volunteers is designed to give the family caregiver a welcome four-hour respite. Participants interact socially with others in a highly structured but caring mode. The goal is to support the family so that institutionalization can be postponed.

• Event Photography Opportunity - Trotting with Tots

  UPDATE: It looks like we have enough volunteers for this, but you can still contact Kevin if you'd like to be on call in case a volunteer has to cancel. Thanks!
  Trotting with Tots, an Austin-based stroller running group, will be celebrating it's 2nd anniversary by hosting an inaugural Stroller 'Run'raiser (or Walk-raiser if you so prefer) and Trot Tot 1K Saturday May 21 at 9:30am along the trails of Brushy Creek. All proceeds from the event will go to Courtney Pyle Family. As some of you may know, Courtney's son, Scott, was recently diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
  They are looking for a few photographers to come out and photograph the event! If you are interested in helping, use the Contact Kevin form to reach us!

  A Special Volunteer Opportunity!
  'Pics & Pizza' at Community First! Village
  March 2016 (The event is in March, but we are accepting volunteers now!)
  We are currently seeking volunteers (photographer and non-photographer types) to help with this special project to provide free portraits for the residents in the new Community First! Village in East Austin. The Community First! Village is a 27-acre master-planned community that provides affordable, sustainable housing and a supportive community for the chronically homeless in Central Texas.
  We extend a BIG THANK YOU to Color Inc Pro Labs for donating the printing for all of the photographs for this event!
