<br><br>Darius will provide a welcome introduction to the group, and will be an active participant along with special appointed speakers (representing a variety of perspectives including law enforcement, educators, correctional officers, youth, &#8230;)  Kevin will help set the framework for discussion, mutual respect, and providing a safe place to share differing viewpoints to encourage a deeper understanding of these complex issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We won&#8217;t solve all the world&#8217;s problems in this session, but we hope to open the door to maybe a bit more understanding and openness to discussing these important topics.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These are some of the topics we may cover:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Does systemic racism exist and if it does, how do we fix it?<\/li><li>George Floyd Death&nbsp;<\/li><li>How and what can we do to change the division between law enforcement and the community?<\/li><li>Why is this happening?&nbsp;<\/li><li>Are there disproportionate numbers of minorities incarcerated and if so, why?<\/li><li>Are black communities underserved?&nbsp;<\/li><li>Are white communities underserved?<\/li><li>Does police brutality exist across America and if so, how do we fix it?&nbsp;<\/li><li>Do you agree or disagree with the current looting and rioting?<\/li><li>What role does the church play in current events<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did you miss this?
