Another excellent ImagingUSA conference wrapped up this evening in San Antonio. \u00a0There were so many good insights shared. \u00a0I swear my brain is going to explode. \u00a0Can I process it all?? \u00a0I have to spend some time going through my pages and pages of notes to discern what are my major “takeaways” from the experience.<\/p>\n
Every person goes there and processes\u00a0this event in different ways based on their prior experiences in photography, current needs, and visions of where they want to go next. \u00a0 The key is to be willing to let the experience of ImagingUSA “speak to you” with an open-minded attitude to give you insights on how to be “better” in whatever ways you might need to be better. \u00a0That might be technical skills. That might be business insights.<\/p>\n
I always come back from these events with bags of marketing materials from all the different vendors and then tens of pages of notes I took. \u00a0As I said, it will take me some time to process this and discern what MY<\/em> major takeaways are.<\/p>\n The next step is the critical one. \u00a0What you learn at an event like this doesn’t matter as much as what you DO ABOUT IT. \u00a0Decide what action items result from your takeaway list. \u00a0If your whole experience does not lead to a set of action items, to put in practice what you learned, you have just wasted your time.<\/p>\n Whether you attended this event or not, I encourage you to spend some time assessing your direction in life. What changes might you make to make your life “better” by whatever measure you choose. \u00a0Choose “better”.<\/p>\n I assume you are a photographer, if you are reading this blog. \u00a0My desire is to help you in whatever way you need to achieve “better” in your photography.
