{"id":1720,"date":"2018-06-14T18:17:35","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T18:17:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kgphotoworkshops.com\/blog\/?p=1720"},"modified":"2018-06-14T18:17:35","modified_gmt":"2018-06-14T18:17:35","slug":"featured-photographer-emily-spencer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kgphotoworkshops.com\/blog\/2018\/06\/14\/featured-photographer-emily-spencer\/","title":{"rendered":"Featured Photographer: Emily Spencer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In our Featured Photographer series, we highlight the work of our former and current students!<\/p>\n<p>Your Name: <strong>Emily Spencer<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Type of Camera:\u00a0 <strong>Canon EOS 5D Mark III <\/strong>and<strong> Canon EOS 70D<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you love to photograph the most?\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>I shoot for the simple love of photography\u2014so my favorite things to photograph are what I am doing at the moment; from traveling around the world, hiking or four-wheeling around Colorado, playing at the Lake in Austin, attending sporting events, exploring cities or just enjoying my backyard\u2014Great Photographs are all around you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is one thing you have learned that has improved your photography?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Really understanding the settings on my camera and how they all work together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advice you\u2019d give to others wanting to grow in their photography skills:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Hands down \u2013 taking photography classes with Kevin.\u00a0 From his group classes to his workshops to private sessions.\u00a0 His approach to teaching photography is a great balance between the technical and artistic aspects of photography.\u00a0 He taught me how my camera really works, how to edit my photos for the best results and how to take that knowledge out in the field with me all while being mindful of my creative vision.
