What do you love to photograph the most?\u00a0 <\/strong>I love to find those moments or scenes that evoke feeling of joy, humor, love or just inspiration.\u00a0 I am opportunistic, looking for what is available – Wildlife, Landscapes, Nightscapes, People, Architecture, Flowers or whatever.<\/p>\n

What is one thing you have learned that has improved your photography? <\/strong>That I need to continually be learning, from classes, from colleagues, from Adobe or YouTube tutorials.\u00a0 Certainly it also helps to look at photographs by great photographers, in books and online.<\/p>\n

Advice you\u2019d give to others wanting to grow in their photography skills: \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Don\u2019t be discouraged by the obvious greatness of other photographers!<\/li>\n
  2. Know that in time your skills will grow.\u00a0 Practice, practice, practice \u2013 or shoot, shoot, shoot.<\/li>\n
  3. Seek to know your camera \u2013 all its settings, all its potential.\u00a0 YouTube probably has multiple videos just on your camera and its particular use in many settings.<\/li>\n
  4. Come to understand LIGHT!\u00a0 And how aperture, shutter speed, ISO and Flash affects your photography.<\/li>\n
  5. Find, learn, and use good editing software like Photoshop and Lightroom.\u00a0 Look to learn from colleagues, classes local and online.\u00a0 Again, Adobe and YouTube have many tutorials on these and other editing programs.<\/li>\n
  6. Travel with teachers and colleagues to new venues that excite and challenge your interest and skills.<\/li>\n
  7. Focus on enjoying your photograph in such a way that you are motivated to continue learning and growing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
